DNA considers its members and customers as its most valuable assets. We want you to feel comfortable and secure when conducting transactions on our site, knowing that we are taking every measure possible to protect you and your information.
When you make a purchase on the DNA site - whether that purchase is a product, meeting registration, or membership dues - the payment information you enter is processed via a secure link to our server. That secure link employs the highest level of safety measures available by encrypting the data with a 128-bit secure key. To put this in perspective, gaining access to any information encrypted with such a key would take significantly longer than the age of the universe using conventional technology.
Note that this level of security is only available to you if the software on your computer is also capable of supporting 128-bit encryption. To verify that your browser software is capable of protecting you with a 128-bit secure key you will need to begin a transaction and get to a page that requests credit card information on our site. Then, please follow the instructions below for the browser you are using:
- In Netscape versions 4.X and higher (including Mozilla), click on the "Security" button (and then View Page Info) or on the padlock icon at the bottom right of the window to determine whether the current page is encrypted and what level of encryption is in use.
- In Microsoft Internet Explorer, a solid padlock will appear on the bottom right or bottom left of the window when encryption is in use. To determine whether 40-bit or 128-bit encryption is in effect, open the document information page using File->Properties. This will indicate whether 40-bit (low/weak) or 128-bit (high/strong) encryption is in use.
If your browser indicates that 40-bit encryption is being used, we strongly encourage you to update your browser to the most recent version that includes 128-bit encryption, if possible.
