About DNA / Benefits of Membership / Associate Member Award
Purpose: To recognize the DNA Associate Member (non RN, non LPN/LVN) whose practice and achievements best exemplify the goals and objectives of the DNA.
Criteria: The candidate must:
- Be a DNA Associate Member for the past 2 years
- Be employed in a dermatology setting
- Serve as a role model by:
a) Maintaining an outstanding level of skill and knowledge in the care of the dermatologic patient.
b) Utilizing innovative techniques in patient care and patient education.
c) Promoting mutual respect with both patients and other health care team members.
d) Reaching out to the professional and lay communities in education efforts.
e) Sharing professional expertise with DNA peers through involvement at the local or national level.
f) Include DNA involvement of any type (see cover letter).
Submit: The candidate shall submit:
- Letters of recommendation, one of which must be from the employer.
- Curriculum Vitae (CV), which must document all continuing education, especially core curriculums taken at DNA conventions.
- Completed awards application.
- Any documentation of ways in which the candidate demonstrated the points in criteria 3 above.
Award: The recipient will receive a $1,000 education grant, airfare, and complimentary registration to the annual convention.
