DNA Annual Convention, March 25-28, 2010

The annual convention - the only live convention DNA will hold in 2010 - offers a wide-variety of support opportunities sure to meet your educational or marketing goals as a company, while supporting quality educational programs and workshops aimed at the dermatology nurse working in a private or academic based dermatology practice setting. Program in a Box – an Educational Tool Kit for DNA Chapters

Support: Sole or multiple supporters
Amount: $200,000 Sole Supporter, or 4 Supporters at $50,000 each

Tool kits complete with recorded programs, sample evaluation forms, tips on local meeting management and promotion, and ANCC required forms will be developed for use by any of DNA’s 27 chapters. The content for these programs will be drawn from select sessions offered at the 2010 Annual Convention. This opportunity includes support for live sessions at the 2010 Annual Convention, plus support of the Tool Kit.

Awards, Grants and Scholarships – DNA’s Member Recognition Program

Support: Sole Supporter for each item.
Amount: Varied – see list below.

The DNA Recognition Program is designed to acknowledge and recognize our many volunteers who have given so generously of their time, talent, and energy on behalf of our organization. Categories are broad so that every DNA member may qualify for at least one, if not several awards.

Corporate supporters provide DNA with the necessary financial assistance to help advance leadership and professional development associated with these recognition opportunities.

Supporting amounts range from $1250 to $3,500. A number of opportunities to participate with DNA in this most valuable member benefit still exit. Below is a list of the awards, grants and scholarships provided annually by the DNA. Items still in need of support as of September 11, 2009 are shown in [red] font and have an amount indicated.

  • Dermatology Nurse Practitioner Certification (DCNP) Examination Grants, $3,300 (12 to be awarded at $275 each)
  • Dermatology Nursing Certification (DNC) Examination Grant, $2,100 (12 to be awarded at $175 each)
