Ortho Dermatologics Dermatology Nurse Research Grant

Purpose: To recognize quality research in dermatology nursing, which will improve dermatology patient care.

Criteria: The candidate must:
  1. Be an active DNA member for the past 2 years.
  2. Remain an active DNA member for the duration of their research.
  3. Be employed in the specialty of dermatology.
  4. Be the principal investigator for the research.
  5. Agree to submit research findings within 2 years to the Dermatology Nursing Journal; or submit a poster presentation for a DNA Convention; or submit a presentation at a DNA Convention.
  6. Have research be in a format consistent with the nursing process.
  7. Have all research approved by an Institutional Research Board.
Submit: The candidate shall submit:
  1. A completed application.
  2. The research proposal.
  3. A letter stating agreement to publish research findings with the DNA in one of the three above mentioned forms and send updates on their research to the award committee chairman every 6 months.
  4. Documentation research has been approved by an Institutional Research Board.
  5. Projected cost analys of project.

Award: The recipient will be awarded a $2,000 educational grant provided by Ortho Dermatologics (formerly Ortho Neutrogena).
