The Dermatology Nurses’ Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Program Purpose:
The purpose of this activity is to enable the learner to assess patients at risk for poor wound healing and provide nursing care to improve wound healing.

Learning Objectives
Upon successful completion of this educational program, the participant should be able to:

  • Review impact of malnutrition.
  • Identify nutrition related risks for poor wound healing.
  • Describe the role of macronutrients in wound healing.
  • Describe the role of micronutrients in wound healing.
