Responding to iPLEDGE
What are your experiences with iPLEDGE? A recent change to the program eliminated a controversial lockout period for males and females of non childbearing potential. This change is viewed as an improvement, but Stephen P. Stone, M.D., president of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD) believes the lockout period should be eliminated for females of childbearing potential, as well. Read more AAD recommendations in the Dermatology Times article “FDA Modifies iPLEDGE 'Lockout'.”
Another Dermatology Times article, “AAD Survey 90% of Derms Unhappy with iPLEDGE” states “Dermatologists are virtually unanimously dissatisfied with the controversial federal iPLEDGE registry and want significant changes to the program, according to a poll of members of the American Academy of Dermatology (AAD).”
