The Dermatology Nurses’ Association is accredited as a provider of continuing nursing education by the American Nurses Credentialing Center’s Commission on Accreditation.

To Receive Credit:

  2. Complete/submit the posttest and evaluation.
  3. Receive a passing score of 70% or more to receive credit.

PROGRAM OVERVIEW

Program Purpose:
The purpose of this activity is to review both the subjective and objective components to an exam as well as to review normal versus abnormal, and age appropriate skin findings commonly seen during a skin examination.

Learning Objectives:
Upon successful completion of this educational program, the participant should be able to:

  • Describe the components to a skin cancer examination.
  • Review typical presentations of benign skin lesions.
  • Describe typical presentation of non-pigmented skin malignancies.
  • Describe typical presentations of cutaneous melanomas.
  • Discuss management and follow up strategies for patients at risk.
