Virtual Psoriasis Symposium Frequently Asked Questions

What is a virtual event?
A virtual event is a gathering of people sharing a common interest on the web, rather than meeting in a physical location. This will be a highly interactive event, although you will only meet your peers virtually. You will be able to chat live with other attendees and ask questions, as well as, walk a virtual exhibit hall and visit booths.

What is the format?
The 2D platform will allow you course live through a PowerPoint presentation while listening to the presenter. The 3D platform is what makes this event extremely engaging. You will be able to create an avatar, a 3D representation of yourself, see each presentation in an online auditorium and network with other online attendees.

Is this similar to an on-site event?
Yes. Although you will be sitting in the comfort of your home or office, you will still be able to sit in an online auditorium, interact and network with other attendees, walk a virtual exhibit hall and more. The exhibit hall is set up just like an on-site event, where you can interact with representatives from the company/organization, download documents, view new products and more.

How do I register for the symposium?
The following link will take you to the registration page for the symposium: Fill out the information required to complete the transaction. The symposium costs $75 for DNA members and $125 for nonmembers.

What will the symposium cover?
The symposium will consist of three sessions covering topics on psoriasis. The sessions include: Understanding Psoriasis: A Closer Look at the History, Pathophysiology, Diagnostic Criteria and Comorbidities of a Disease that is More Than Skin Deep, Psoriasis Treatment Considerations and Patient Education. Can I earn continuing education credits?
The symposium allows you to earn 2.83 continuing education credits.

What do I need to view/participate in the symposium?
You will need a computer with Internet connection and speakers. The symposium will stream live through the Internet and you will listen to the presenters through the computer speakers. You can use headphones if you are participating from an office.

Will there be an opportunity to ask questions?
After all of the sessions are complete, you will have the opportunity to ask all of the speakers questions in a chat box, which will be answered live for you.

Can I still access the symposium after it has already been streamed live?
Yes. If something comes up and you are unable to attend Saturday, November 10, no worries! As long as you are registered for the event you will be emailed a link to the recorded version of the symposium for you to view at your leisure.
